“Life presents us with a variety of challenges and stressors, prompting us to adopt different coping mechanisms. In my practice, I hope to create a space where people feel empowered to examine these strategies, and explore healthier alternatives that align with individual goals and values. Education & Experience
Master of Science in Social Work, WALDEN UNIVERSITY (2024).
Hello! My name is Tyler and I have been working in the mental health field for over seven years. My experience includes several years at a diagnostic/assessment-focused residential treatment center for adults, as well as a day treatment clinic providing care for children and adolescents with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. I studied kinesiology (exercise science) during my undergrad, and find the link between mental health and movement fascinating.
My approach to therapy uses a variety of evidence-based modalities including ACT, DBT, Mindfulness, and behavioral interventions. I believe there is value in drawing from a diverse range of resources, as each person is unique and what works best for one individual may not for another.
In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities like skiing, rock climbing, camping, and mountain biking. Alternatively, if I’m looking for a more relaxing experience, I find relief in activities like pottery, video games, and spending time with my wife and Australian shepherd dog, named Banjo.
