Education & Experience
Master of Social Work, UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY (2022).
Travis believes in a wholistic approach as the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of every client are important.
Travis grew up in a family that believed that mental health and well-being are important facets in personal, familial, and societal contexts. As an undergraduate student, he volunteered with multiple non-profits like The Family Place and Little Lambs. Simultaneously he worked with teens at Logan River Academy as well as with geriatrics and their families at Tender Care Home Health and Hospice. While in his graduate program, he provided therapy for Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), LGBTQIA+, multicultural families, couples (specializing in non-traditional relationships), and individuals struggling with their spirituality.
He has been trained in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and The Gottman Method. He fully believes that laughter accompanies healing and loves to use humor as a way to showcase the wonders of life. Additionally, he believes in the power of client-centered practices and hopes to create an atmosphere of learning, acceptance, and growth.
In Travis’ personal time, he loves going hiking with his wife and their dog Pepper, traveling (only 6 more states to go before having visited all of them), hip hop/ breakdancing, and going to shows. When relaxing, he loves to play games with friends and family, watch movies, and listen to music.
