Bachelor of Science in Psychology, UNIVERSITY OF UTAH (2014).
Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX (2022).
Samantha utilizes a strengths-based client-centered approach to therapy. Her goal is tomeet each client where they’re at and build off of each client’s existing strengths. She hasexperience working with domestic violence, sexual assault, anxiety, depression, trauma,gender dysphoria and grief. She has been volunteering and advocating for the LBGTQ+community for over a decade in a variety of settings and has a passion for working withthis population.
Samantha uses a variety of evidence based approaches, including talk therapy, CognitiveBehavioral Therapy, Mindfulness practice, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Arttherapy. Samantha is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)and often utilizes this technique to reprocess trauma and overcome negative beliefs aswell as strengthen clients’ positive beliefs and experiences.
Samantha loves hiking, reading, and spending time with her husband, kids, and dogs. Shecan often be found exploring the beautiful trails this state has to offer, playing board orcard games at home, or sipping tea with her nose in a book!
