Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Social Work, WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY (2024).
Master of Social Work, UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY (2025).
In 2020, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was during that year that I saw support from family, neighbors, friends, and strangers like I had never known. It quickly became my goal to bring that same energy to mental health. After all, mental health is as important as physical health. We cannot change a diagnosis that has been given to us, but by working together, we can gain our power back.
In completing my undergraduate work, I was inspired by Marsha Linehan’s story. She created Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In our thinking, we can get stuck in the black-and-white mindset that feels hopeless. I aim to bring this into practice to help the most vulnerable clients who feel stuck or hopeless. Every person deserves to feel safe.
During my time as an undergraduate, I also spent a year working with unsheltered families and individuals in Ogden. I worked with a diverse group of people who had different needs. Working with this population taught me the importance of thinking outside the box. It taught me that one size does not fit all, and in order to help clients in their healing journey, it is important for me to meet them where they are.
In my spare time, I enjoy composing music on the piano and singing along. I love cooking and trying new foods whenever I can. I also love traveling and getting to know new customs and cultures.
