Lexi Todd

Philosophy

“I believe that every person has an innate ability for resiliency, strength, compassion, and
growth. I also believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel welcome, safe, heard, and supported.

My approach to therapy is engrained with these values as I work with you, as the expert in your own life, to support and help you navigate through the ups and downs you have and/or may currently be facing. As a therapist, I aim to work collaboratively with you through your own unique experiences and stories by helping to support you through the lows, share strategies and supports for coping and making growth through the “eh/average/so-so” days, and celebrate the highs and accomplishments you experience as you create the future of health, happiness, and harmony you desire and deserve!”

Bachelor of Science in Social Work, WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY (2022).

Master of Social Work, WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY (2023).

Lexi Todd has worked with a wide range of clients from ages as young as 4 to as wise and experienced as 55. Lexi has experience working with youth, adolescents, adults, parents, and families with a variety of emotional, environmental, circumstantial, and relational challenges within a community mental health and school setting. She loves the therapeutic process of working with individuals to explore their experiences, emotions, strengths, barriers, relationships, and more.

Lexi spent the last three years working with youth, adolescents, adults, parents/caregivers, and families through a variety of facets including behavior intervention and therapy. She worked within the school setting as a behavioral interventionist at the district level to
support students and families struggling with behavioral concerns. Additionally, she completed her graduate internship working within the community mental health setting for the last year specializing in in-home therapy for children and families involved in DCFS, JJS, and post-adoption. Lexi’s range of experience gives her a unique set of knowledge, perspective, and skills to work with clients who have diverse backgrounds and concerns.

Lexi pulls from a variety of treatment modalities, approaches, and techniques including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Crisis work. These are used
integratively and collaboratively to best suit each unique and individual client. Additionally, Lexi brings safety, support, humor, understanding, and compassion to the therapeutic process.

Outside of work, Lexi enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, reading, drawing, listening to music, playing board games, traveling (Iceland for the Northern Lights is the next on the bucket list), and being around animals (especially puppies, although all dogs are always considered puppies in her heart)!
