Education & Experience

Bachelor of Science in Psychology, WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY (2019).

Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, CAPELLA UNIVERSITY (2025).

 Emily has some training experience in Emotionally Focused Therapy. She loves the concepts, theories, and evidence behind this model of therapy, as well as Solution-Focused Therapy. She enjoys reading books written by the founders of these therapeutic models.

Emily has participated in her own research on a volunteer basis, presenting her findings at various psychology conferences on multiple occasions. She likes participating in and learning from the scientific method to expand our knowledge of human relationships.

Emily is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She values not only the religion and its teachings, but also the community that has been built up around them. She also understands the ways the religion and its culture affect lots of aspects of life here in Utah.

When not working, Emily loves spending time with her two inquisitive boys and wonderful husband. She enjoys road biking on the beautiful paths all around Utah, reading all the books she can get her hands on, and crocheting the way her grandma taught her.
