Dave believes deeply in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual. His client-centered approach emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for healing and growth. Drawing from a range of modalities—including guided imagery, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, play therapy, expressive arts, and CBT—Dave tailors his work to meet the unique needs of each client.
Since becoming a counselor in 2011, Dave has worked extensively with foster care providers, foster youth, and adoptive families. Today, he works with individuals, couples, and families on a variety of clinical issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ODD, self-esteem, LGBTQ+ issues, and identity. Dave is passionate about supporting people through pain and considers it a privilege to walk with clients on their healing journeys.
Outside the therapy room, Dave is a singer/songwriter who enjoys the outdoors—hiking, camping, snowboarding, and paddle boarding—as well as traveling (especially to Portugal and Southeast Asia), crocheting, exploring new foods, and spending time with his partner, four cats, and bunny.
