“There is a sentiment in 12-step recovery programs that goes something like this: You are only as sick as your secrets. Some of us can connect to this deeply, knowing that we are holding profound– and perhaps difficult– truths from the people we love. Others of us fight a private daily battle against the expectations of others, struggling to simply connect and feel as though our outward selves match who we truly are on the inside, fearing what others might think if they knew that person.”
“Wherever you may lie in the space between those conditions, you and I will create a place together where you can say whatever you have been holding onto, begin learning to walk forward on a path of well-being that you choose, and find along the way an ever-growing sense of strength and peace.”

Chad grew up on a farm in rural Idaho, the oldest of three adopted children. Although no longer religious– but certainly spiritual– he experienced a two-year mission and temple marriage within the LDS faith. His life is blessed with a large, happy, admittedly unlikely family: two adult daughters from his first marriage, and two sets of boy-girl twins. Tim continues to work with couples and adolescents on an ongoing outpatient basis. He loves working with a team approach to continue helping the client from a multi-faceted approach.
Ultimately, Chad hopes to partner with individuals and couples in achieving a deeper sense of meaning, both within themselves and within their relationships. He believes in the power of healthy connection and is guided by the fundamental belief that every person has within themself the tools and capacity to begin building the life they envision.
When he and his wife aren’t wrangling small children, Chad enjoys writing, reading, exploring music, power napping, and spending time in the outdoors. He used to enjoy physical fitness and is on a quest to make that a habit again. He accepts the endless responsibilities of yard work and home maintenance, performing them… let’s say adequately. Someday, Chad and his wife might or might not own a home overlooking the Oregon coast. We’ll see. For the present, they find joy in each day– truly– as two parents just trying to figure it all out.
