Education & Experience

Bachelor of Science in Social Work, WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY (2017).

Master of Social Work, BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY (2021).

Carly began working in the field as a foster care caseworker for the Division of Child and Family Services before going back to school to get her master’s degree in social work. She completed her internship as a domestic violence therapist working with victims of intimate partner violence. Carly has since then worked in private practice as an outpatient therapist and as a crisis worker at a local hospital.

Carly has experience working with clients who are facing a range of emotional and mental health challenges, including but not limited to, trauma, PTSD, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, neurodivergence, low self-worth, emotion dysregulation, relationship challenges, sexual issues, codependency, and attachment-based issues.

Drawing from various therapeutic modalities, such as eye movement desensitization (EMDR), trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), attachment focused work, existential and psychodynamic theory, Carly helps clients develop insight, build coping skills, and make positive changes in their lives. Carly also emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship and believes that building a trusting and collaborative alliance with clients is essential for successful therapy outcomes. In her free time, Carly enjoys spending time with her husband and their three dogs. She also frequently engages in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest research and best practices in the field of therapy to provide quality care to her clients.
