As an undergraduate student, Brooke Boyd gained experience working in residential treatment centers including Avalon Hills and Logan River Academy. She worked with adolescents, and adults with eating disorders as well as other mental health concerns. While receiving her graduate degree, she enjoyed running an after-school program for refugee teens with the Asian Association of Utah-Refugee Immigrant Center, as well as providing clinical counseling for those that come from refugee and immigrant backgrounds with University Neighborhood Partners. Brooke enjoyed her graduate practicum at LDS family services where she treated a variety of clients including adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families.
Brooke specializes in working with adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, body image, anger management, communication issues, and chronic illness/pain-related issues. Brooke also enjoys working with women’s issues, postpartum depression, eating disorders, trauma-related issues, and OCD. Brooke is trained in working with those who experience suicidal thoughts and self-harming behavior.
Brooke loves hanging out in the mountains, especially with her husband and their dog Auggie! She enjoys hiking, skiing, and paddleboarding. Brooke grew up playing tennis, and loves to play to this day, she has even gotten into some pickleball! Don’t let her calming presence fool you, she loves finding unique ways to have fun including eating tarantulas in foreign countries and skydiving! Even with an adventurous spirit, Brooke loves cuddling up and watching her favorite show, aka, The Office.
