Although Amber has extensive knowledge in addiction recovery from her undergraduate work, she also provides therapy for those struggling with mental health difficulties like anxiety and depression. Grief, self-esteem, and self-worth issues are other areas of her passion. Amber also has experience working with military personnel, couples, and spouses and families of those suffering from substance misuse.
Amber believes that people who cultivate gratitude in their lives are less likely to experience anxiety and depression and are more likely to enjoy improved physical and mental health. She employs mindfulness, life-management skills training, and trauma-informed care to help clients overcome challenges and build resilience. Amber takes a direct yet compassionate approach, working with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences to help them move forward and create fulfilling lives.
When she is not working, Amber loves spending time her husband and two dogs. She enjoys traveling and gardening in her spare time. Each year she challenges herself to add new varieties of flowers to her garden. She is very passionate about serving in and giving back to her community.
