Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion, MIAMI UNIVERSITY (2016).
Master of Social Work, WALDEN UNIVERSITY (2025).
Allie has 6+ years of experience in Child Welfare, Homeless Services, Juvenile Detention, and Crisis Intervention. She is currently working on her Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Military Families. When not in the office or outside with her dog, Flip, she works in a hospital setting for acute mental health crises. Allie also has extensive experience working with children, youth and young adults, and is passionate about advocation and holistic care.
Allie began her career in social services working in a residential facility in a Chicago suburb. Allie quickly grew a passion in system advocacy, working with high-needs kiddos, and became a believer in the phrase, “All behavior has meaning”. She gained extensive experience working with youth who may have conduct or behavior concerns, aggression, attachment disorders, autism, or impulsivity. She was able to continue working with system-involved youth as an intern at a Juvenile Detention. She later gained experience working with unhoused folks, substance use disorders, and mood disorders.
Allie enjoys play therapy techniques, DBT, reframing, positive communication, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness techniques, and aims to be client-centered and solution focused in all she does. She sees value in family-centered treatment, long-term focus, and meeting you where you are at. Allie’s experiences continue to teach her about true advocacy, listening rather than just hearing, and to be curious- not judgmental.
She is a big believer in a little treat always, a good powder day, pour-over coffee, and that a windows-down car ride can solve just about anything
