Philosophy

“I believe that everyone’s journey deserves to be heard and validated. Therapy can offer a safe place to share this story. My approach includes a combination of Solution-Focused methods and Art Therapy. These interventions can elicit self-expression through creative measures, and target unhelpful patterns and ways of thinking.”

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Science in Psychology, UNIVERSITY OF UTAH (2014).

Master of Social Work, UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY (2022).

I approach the therapy room as I do life, a splash of structure with a trail of creativity. I enjoy the tangible, analytical structure of cognitive behavioral therapy and the progress that can be seen. I also enjoy the creative expression of incorporating art therapy. Connecting on a creative level can allow for brain pathways to open and connect. A picture (or piece of artwork) really is worth 1000 words.

My own struggle through the human experience and gaining a deeper understanding of myself drew me to this career. I enjoy helping others through their own path to a richer life. I have a particular passion for those struggling with addiction. One of my greatest joys is to offer hope and a safe space to heal.

When I am not filling my passion in the therapy space, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I enjoy the feeling of movement and love to be out in nature. Boxing and yoga also fill this need for me, as well as adventures with my dog.

I look forward to helping you through this journey of life.
