Philosophy

“All of us have adapted to our circumstances in ways that keep us safe and connected. These patterns of behavior represent our greatest strengths, and often, our areas of weakness. By exploring present issues, and reprocessing them in healthy ways, new possibilities can open up horizons previously unseen. Through this process, negative patterns of behavior no longer block our path forward but provide perspective and meaning for the journey ahead.”

Coming to therapy and working on painful aspects of your life is a courageous act that can help you rewrite your story in ways that promote healing. You come to therapy with unique strengths, challenges, and a story all your own in your roles as a wife, mother, and employee. I am committed to creating a safe environment where you can explore these difficult issues and find ways to decrease suffering and increase feelings of well-being and connection.

I work with adults and adolescents who have a variety of challenges, from depression and anxiety to OCD and bipolar disorder. I specialize in postpartum and women’s issues. I use a variety of therapies depending on your needs and strengths including EMDR, trauma-informed, and mindfulness therapy.

Congratulations on considering counseling. I believe that mental health counseling can improve your mood, help you create more meaningful relationships, and enjoy better physical health. I am located in Kaysville, Utah and am taking in person and online appointments. Contact us to schedule or to see if working with me may be a good fit for you.
