Education & Experience
Master of Marriage & Family Therapy, BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY (2010).
Kristi works with adults, adolescents, and children experiencing various mental health challenges. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, self-worth, and addiction. In individual therapy, Kristi aims to help clients toward holistic well-being by exploring metacognition, acceptance, mindfulness, personal values, and spirituality. She believes that recovery from difficult emotional experiences is possible and that clients define their treatment goals and path to recovery.
When working with couples, Kristi helps clients uncover deeper meanings behind everyday difficulties. She likes to work from a strengths-based perspective by helping couples recognize the things that are going well in their relationships. For relationship concerns that couples wish to improve, Kristi utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy techniques as well as Gottman Institute strategies.
When out of the office, Kristi enjoys spending time with her spouse and children. She also enjoys cooking, home improvement projects, and reading.
