“I believe that every person deserves to live a life of meaning, growth, and satisfaction. Therapy provides a place for us to challenge ourselves, change our perspectives, overcome difficulties, and heal from the many wounds we accumulate throughout life. Every client is unique and the experts of their own experiences. I strive to create an environment of compassion and validation as you find healthier ways of moving forward towards healing. I believe in the power of hope to get us through our darkest moments as we work to see the beauty of even our most difficult circumstances.”

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Science in Social Work, WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY (2022).

Master of Social Work, WEBER STATE UNIVERSITY (2023).

Christa most recently worked at OWCAP Head Start with the mental health specialist assisting families in the Ogden community. She taught the 1-2-3 Magic parenting course to families in the program giving them practical tools to help manage misbehavior, encourage positive behaviors, and strengthen their relationships with their children.

Christa spent the last 3 years as a volunteer for Saprea, a non-profit organization that provides healing resources to survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Kintsugi is the Japanese art form of repairing broken pottery with gold. Christa has taught hundreds of individuals how to do kintsugi in small or large groups. She has raised thousands of dollars for Saprea through her kintsugi classes. She believes that kintsugi can be applied to your healing journey, no matter what pains you have experienced. Your wounds are part of your story and they become your real-life version of kintsugi.

Christa has studied and focused on hope to get her through many of her darkest moments. She believes that hope can be a catalyst to creating your best life. During her free time, she can be found exploring the many trails in the Ogden area. She loves to be outside walking, hiking, or biking. She loves to collect rocks, especially finding heart-shaped rocks that she believes are messages of love. She loves to paint rocks, puzzle, do kintsugi, play the piano, and collage. She loves spending time with her children and finding creative outings to do as a family.
