I am a doctoral-level social work therapist with more than 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship difficulties, family conflict, life transitions, and a wide range of mental health concerns. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a social work educator and trainer, teaching and mentoring mental health professionals and students.

My style is interactive, genuine, and down-to-earth. I believe that counseling works best when clients feel comfortable being themselves and develop a relationship built on trust, authenticity, and collaboration. I take a sincere interest in getting to know each person beyond their symptoms or diagnosis, recognizing that every individual brings unique strengths, experiences, and goals to the counseling process. My approach to counseling is practical, emphasizing real-world strategies that clients can apply in their daily lives.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that every client is capable of achieving lasting change. My goal is not simply to help clients feel better, but to help them live better by developing the skills, confidence, and perspective needed to move toward a meaningful and fulfilling life. I view therapy as a team effort and consider it a privilege to work with clients as they pursue their goals and improve their well-being.

My work is strongly influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with other evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I help clients develop greater psychological flexibility, which is the ability to navigate difficult thoughts, emotions, and challenges while remaining connected to what matters most. Together, we work to build resilience, strengthen relationships, achieve what is important to you, and create lasting change that extends beyond the therapy office.
